Typical Outback Sunrise

QUEENSLAND

Queensland is in the northeast part of Australia and is known among others, for the Gold Coast and the Great Barrier Reef, Its coastline is a whopping 7,000 kilometers! The capital Brisbane is the second biggest city in Australia and the third most populated. Queensland has ten of the twenty largest cities in Australia, and ranks 3rd in terms of economic size. Its sceneries are beautiful and diverse, from beaches to rainforests to dry tropical lands to mountains. It is called the "sunshine state" because the sun shines in this city for more or less 300 days each year. And then there is central Queensland. A jewel of a gem…literally. Queensland has also been referred to as the state "Where Australia shines." And for good reason. Sapphire, gold, and a bit of diamonds have been mined in this geologically endowed land for over a century now. Any which way you look at it, this Australian state sparkles with beauty and vibrant activity.

WHY
